Dear Silver Fox Family,

It is with great excitement and pride that I welcome you to Ten Oaks Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year! As your principal, I am honored to lead a school filled with dedicated staff, exceptional students, supportive families, and engaged community members.

Since opening our doors in 2017, Ten Oaks has grown into a vibrant learning community where Success - Nothing Less! is more than a motto. It defines who we are and what we strive to achieve each day. We challenge our students through rigorous and engaging learning experiences while celebrating their unique talents and emphasizing kindness, character, and support for one another.

This year is especially meaningful as we Celebrate Year 10—ten years of serving the students and families of the Carolina Forest community. We are proud to celebrate "A Decade Rooted in Success!"

That success begins with our outstanding staff. We are proud to recognize Mrs. Ashley Klopfer, our TOMS Teacher of the Year, and Mr. Marty Graham, our TOMS Support Staff of the Year and a Top 5 Finalist for HCS Support Staff of the Year.

Our students continue to thrive academically and beyond the classroom. As we celebrate "A Decade Rooted in Success," we are focusing on strengthening those roots and providing every student with a strong foundation to learn, grow, and thrive. Last year, more than 45 eighth-grade students were named South Carolina Junior Scholars, and more than 10 students earned the maximum score on their SC READY assessments. Our Band and Orchestra Directors earned Outstanding Performance Awards for the third consecutive year, making Ten Oaks the only school in the district to earn both distinctions. We are also excited to expand our Fine Arts program this year with the addition of Mr. Joshua Maxwell.

Our Silver Foxes also excel in athletics, leadership, and academic competitions. The Lady Silver Fox Basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the HTC HCS Middle School Championship. Our Mock Trial team placed first in the region and fourth in the state, while nearly 20 National History Day students represented Ten Oaks at the national competition.

With nearly 50 clubs and organizations, our students have opportunities to explore interests ranging from Chess, eSports, and Technology to Disc Golf, GaGa Ball, Fine Arts, service, leadership, and more. Our Student Council, STUCO, participated in local and state events and traveled to Washington, D.C., last year. Our Junior Beta Club was also recognized as a National Beta School of Distinction for its commitment to leadership, service, character, and academic excellence.

And that is only a glimpse of the wonderful things happening at Ten Oaks each day.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain top priorities. We maintain secure facilities, follow established safety protocols, and work continuously to provide a safe, welcoming environment where students can learn, grow, and belong.

At Ten Oaks, our mission is simple but powerful: Bring them in. Build them up. Send them out. We bring every Silver Fox in, so they know they are valued and belong, build them up with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and character they need to thrive, and send them out prepared to succeed in high school and beyond.
